Yes it is true, Fox pulled the plug on the show after one showing. I wish they would have left on longer too. I think it is a funny concept.

I heard the show was pulled already. Why didn't FOX leave it on for the three weeks and see if it gained more viewers? Also, just maybe if FOX hyped this show up as much as their other reality shows it might have gotten a bigger audience. I thought it was very funny and so did friends at work after I told them about it. I also had them view some clips that were on the website and they said they would watch it next time it airs. Well, now they can't because it was pulled. Tell FOX to put it back on and "advertise it" more.

Fox's 'Anchorwoman' sinks

Fox's unscripted program "Anchorwoman" could be headed for an early sign-off after anemic opening-night ratings results Wednesday.
According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, the comedy-reality series "Anchorwoman" -- which chronicles the travails of a former "WWE Diva" who becomes a news anchor in small-market Tyler, Texas -- averaged a 1.0 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 and 2.7 million viewers overall from 8 to 9 o'clock. This is less than half the number put up in the time period by unscripted fare on CBS and NBC, and about one-third what Fox was generating a week earlier with the conclusion of its hit "So You Think You Can Dance."

“Anchorwoman" was designed as a limited-run series, so Fox may stick with it for its remaining three weeks -- although it wouldn't be surprising if it simply pulled the plug.
