Electric Rates have come down quite a bit over the last 2 years. A Residential customer can lock in for a 1 year fixed rate at 11.2 cents total bundled rate. This would be an energy rate with no monthly customer service charge. This rate is good as of August 29 2007.

A commercial business could lock in at 6.4 cents a kwh for 4 months and 7.4 cents kwh if they lock in for 1 year. These rates are at a 2 year low and I doubt they will go much lower. For those of you in Tyler Texas who are wanting to change electric providers now would definitely be the time to do it.
