The purpose of the Ballet organization is to provide opportunities for young ballerinas as well as the local Tyler Audience to enjoy the fine art of dancing. This is one of the best showcases of Eastlake Bracketed Victorian Architecture left in East Texas. You can come for a guided tour that will take you through Tyler’s political and cultural history from post-Civil War. This is the birthplace of historical Washington D.C. news correspondent, Sarah McClendon. This home is also available for weddings and parties. A tour is only available by appointment. Be sure to call atleast 24 hours in advance.

Caldwell Zoo has more than 2000 animals from 250 species from Africa, North and South America live in natural habitats at the 85-acre park. The zoo includes a children’s petting pen, two aquariums, picnic areas, a café that overlooks an African savannah and gift shops with original African items. The zoo also has seasonal presentations including: a bird show, alligator feedings, giraffe feedings, and elephant demonstrations.
