This blog keeps up to date with the latest in what may interest the Tyler Texas community. We work to provide news events that are a little more practical and interesting then what you filter through in some of the publications floating around on the net and in local restaurants. Sure I like magazines full of pictures like the next guy but sometimes you just get tired of things that appear to be unbiased but are really just a big advertisement. This site is a commercial site as well without apology but we do try and keep it practical and with good tips on where to go and what to do in Tyler Texas.

About Tyler Texas

16 08 2007

Tyler is known by many outside the city who have only heard of us as the Rose capital. We inside the city know ourselves as the city with a church on every block. We live in a dry county but boast more restaraunts serving alcohol in ratio to population then any town in Texas. Why is this? It may have something to do with the law no longer applying. It seems to have helped business and the economy. Look around a lot of us here in East Texas are overweight. We like to eat. It’s not all about the alcohol.

Highschool football and the social scene motivate many people and jobs are low paying here without an education. Even with an education they are not that high paying unless you are in the medical field. The best way to make it in this town is to own your own business. So if you happen to be up late at night and are reading this summation of Tyler then start brainstorming or you will find yourself moving to Dallas.
